Ralph Faded Into the Forest – Illustration Friday – 5.5″ x 5″ Watercolor and Prismacolor .01 fine artist pen

Ralph, in his infinite frog wisdom, discovered that if he climbed into the tree and held perfectly still, he faded perfectly into the background, keeping him safe from 5 year old boys.  We all know little boys love taking frogs home and putting them in the bathtub.  Ralph liked the forest better than any bathtub.

Fantastically cute! The pose and pink toes are my favorite bits. Lovely job with the foliage. I like his spots too! (The forest is enormously better than the bathtub, no matter what tasty snacks one might put in it!) Arghh, I am back from a weekend away and must get to my entry this evening I hope!

Thanks, Cindy! I can’t wait to see what you do! I hope you had a nice weekend away. I pretty much got to paint a lot this weekend. I’m having a hard time getting back into work. 🙂

Thanks, Sophia! I got some extra painting time, too! Hubby and his son went fishing several times, leaving me to do art! Deliciously hoarded every moment of it! 🙂
