Gold Coast Australia – 4″ x 6″ Watercolor & Sharpie

This was painted from a photo of the Gold Coast in Australia by Christine (Crispur2005) at WetCanvas.  As I was working on this, I kept thinking of the old Jetsons cartoon.  Funny thing is that when Christine saw this, she also thought of the Jetsons with no hint from me.  I used to love that cartoon when I was a kid.  😀

About Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph Waldo Emerson helped spark the transcendentalist movement with the essay Nature, which described his belief in the spiritual essence of humanity and the natural world. He was born in Boston in 1803. He was a Unitarian minister until he resigned in 1832 to become a philosopher and writer. He suffered the untimely deaths of many of his loved ones: three brothers, his first wife at age 20, and his eldest son at age five. Emerson died in 1882.

Love that, Beth. The thing about fear is that it’s often disguised as other things and so we let it in.

Definitely futuristic in appearance. So much so that the evergreens look so lonely planted there. 🙂 Creative and different. That curving bridge is a nice touch of contrast to all the straight lines, Beth.

I absolutely LOVE the quote at the top of your post here. It is so, so true. If only we could remember this more often! This should be a mantra in the front of everyone’s minds, to repeat to themselves over and over when they doubted themselves or anything else in their lives at all. I love this, it is just what I needed to see right now! Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful quotes and inspiration with us!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Scriptor. It is a great quote, isn’t it? We are so often frozen by our fears. I really love it when one of these quotes hits home and becomes something we needed to hear! ( I needed that one today, too.) Have a great day! 🙂
